This one had a little bit of everything. Overgrown beds, patchy grass, no real structure to the landscaping - just years of buildup that had gotten away from the homeowner. We came in and treated it like a full reset, working around the whole property until every area was cleaned up and made sense again.

We cleared out all the overgrowth first. That's the part most people don't think about - before you can make something look good, you have to get rid of what's working against you. Once the beds were cleared and reshaped, we brought in Missouri river rock to fill them out. It's a great low-maintenance choice for this region. It keeps weeds down, holds up through the seasons, and looks sharp without needing constant attention.

New plants went in where the beds needed them. We paid attention to scale and placement so nothing ends up looking crowded or out of place a year from now. The Japanese maple along the side of the house is a great anchor point - the river rock beds surrounding it let it stand out without competing with a bunch of other plants.

Where the grass was struggling, we laid fresh sod to fill things back in. You can see the difference right at the driveway edge - clean, green, and tight against the concrete. That's the kind of detail that makes a yard look intentional instead of just maintained.

The goal on a job like this is a yard that looks good and stays manageable. No constant trimming, no fighting weeds every week - just a clean, well-put-together property the homeowner can actually enjoy.
