Some backyards just need a full reset. Weeds taking over, bare patches of dirt, uneven ground that holds water and trips you up - it's not a lawn at that point, it's just a mess. That's exactly what we were working with here in Smithville.

Before we touched a hose, we put in the prep work. Grading the ground smooth and bringing in fresh topsoil is what sets a hydroseeding job up for success. Skip that step and you're just spraying seed onto a problem. We don't do that.

Once the ground was ready, we laid down a full hydroseed application across the entire space. Hydroseeding works by mixing grass seed, fertilizer, and a fiber mulch together into a slurry, then spraying it evenly across the prepared surface. That teal-green color you see is the mulch - it holds moisture against the soil and helps the seed germinate faster than traditional dry seeding.

The small marker flags spread across the area help us track coverage and protect the freshly seeded zones. Every part of this process is intentional. A yard like this doesn't just grow on its own - it needs the right foundation, the right seed mix, and the right setup to actually take hold.

This family is going to end up with a real backyard. Smooth, even, and growing in green. That's the whole point of what we do.
